It's the C5AE that tells you when it was revised and the letter "C" (not O) tells you more specifically the revision, if you have the decoder ring. WebThe two ports shown in this photo and the difference is shown by the calipers in this photo . The exhaust port is lower on the C8 head. The exhaust port floor is 1.154 inches from the deck. The C4 exhaust port floor is 1.406 inches from the deck. Unlike the intake port the size of the two exhaust ports is the same; only the locations changed. I have had a bunch of C4ae-h low riser heads and quite a few of them were service heads, dated into 1966. They have this weird braille like raised dot section in between two of the exhaust ports, I have never seen another FE head with it, but have had a couple sets with it.
